Santa Ana, California - A collection of paintings by artist Elyse Cohen are featured at John Wayne Airport (JWA) as part of the Community Focus Program and will be on display through August 11, 2009. "The body of work on display at John Wayne Airport is dear to my heart," says Cohen. "It is comprised of oil paintings on canvas and images of flowers, mostly those that I see here in Rancho Santa Margarita on my daily walks."

Cohen began her art education at the age of 8 at the Brooklyn Museum, continuing with schooling in Manhattan at the Art Students League and the New School for Social Research. While living in Miami, Cohen became the Vice President of the Miami Watercolor Society. Her work has been commissioned by both public and private entities including The Sun Product Corporation, Glendale Adventist Hospital in Los Angeles, St. Luke's Hospital in New York, Hilton hotels and her works are on display at other public buildings as far away as Japan, Germany and France. Cohen currently resides in Rancho Santa Margarita.
