SANTA ANA, Calif. - John Wayne Airport (JWA), in cooperation with the Registrar of Voters, will offer travelers the opportunity to be among the first to cast their ballots in the November 2008 General Election. Between Sunday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 28, the Orange County Registrar of Voters will offer early voting at JWA, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. The voting booths will be located in Terminal A, between Sunglass Hut and Caterina’s, across from Gate 9.

"By partnering with the Registrar, John Wayne Airport is pleased to offer Orange County passengers - even those with the busiest of schedules - greater flexibility to cast their ballots in this presidential election," said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy.

Voters who would like to cast their ballot at JWA must be ticketed passengers, or Airport employees or tenants with valid identification, as the voting booths are located on the Terminal Concourse, beyond the security screening checkpoints.

During early voting, citizens may only vote in accordance with their on-file voter information. Voters who have moved or changed political parties or are not registered need to complete and submit their registration material, which must be processed by the Registrar of Voters before they are permitted to vote. For more information about registering to vote, contact the Registrar of Voters at or (714) 567-7600.

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is a self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the County of Orange, serving nearly ten million passengers annually and is governed by the five-member Orange County Board of Supervisors.
