Pile Driving Activity
Beginning July 6, 2010
As part of the John Wayne Airport Improvement Program, pile driving activity will take place between July 6 and 19 on the construction site of the new North Commuter Terminal, located outside of Terminal A near Gates 14 A and B.
During the pile driving activity, noise and vibration is expected at and in the vicinity of Terminal A. Pile driving may occur between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Pile driving is the first step in creating the foundation for the new facilities. Once all the necessary piles are complete, construction of the new North Commuter Terminal will commence with completion expected in late 2011, concurrently with the opening of the new Terminal C and Parking Structure C.
